48 Hrs in Avatar World: Riding Zhangjiajie’s Thrilling Cable Cars, Zipline & Slides

Published at : 13 Dec 2025

In this 48-hour adventure, I explored Zhangjiajie, a city in Hunan Province known for its unique natural landscapes.

Zhangjiajie is famous for its extraordinary pillar-like mountains, and the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has become a popular destination for global tourists. It also served as the inspiration for the world of "Avatar."

Over the course of two days, I visited Tianmen Mountain, rode the world’s longest mountain cable car, explored the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, and crossed the world’s longest and highest glass bridge. Additionally, I had the thrill of riding the zipline and slide, and took multiple cable car rides, including a ride on the world’s highest outdoor elevator, all while taking in the stunning views of Avatar World.

Let’s enjoy this journey!
