山陰本線は、京都府京都市下京区の京都駅から山陰地方を経由して山口県下関市の幡生駅を結ぶ西日本旅客鉄道(JR西日本)の鉄道路線です。
長閑で風光明媚なことから、「偉大なるローカル線」とも称されています。
なかでも、島根県の益田駅から浜田駅にかけての区間は、クルーズトレイン「TWILIGHT EXPRESS 瑞風」も走行する絶景区間としても知られています。

The Sanin Main Line is a railway operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West), connecting Kyoto Station in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, and Hatabu Station in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, via the Sanin region of western Japan.
Known for its peaceful and picturesque scenery, it is often referred to as the "Great Local Line."
Among its many segments, the section between Masuda and Hamada in Shimane Prefecture is especially scenic, as it runs along the Iwami coast and is also part of the route taken by the luxury cruise train "TWILIGHT EXPRESS Mizukaze."
This video was filmed on a perfectly clear, cloudless day. The calm, endlessly blue Sea of Japan stretches alongside the train, while early summer flowers such as azaleas and wisteria gently color the window view.
