This 1991 BMW 850i V12 came into The Car Edition burning oil, misfiring and leaving a trail of blue smoke behind it. With just 88,000 miles on the clock, this 5-litre V12, 300 bhp grand tourer deserves a proper second life and that’s exactly what it’s getting.
In this first part of our BMW 850i V12 heads rebuild series, Gytis begins by removing the entire engine from this legendary coupe.
The plan for this rebuild includes:
