Join the Long Lost Rides team as they hunt and find a car that this family has been trying to locate for over 40 years. But is this the ride?
Vietnam Vet Jim Pickering bought this 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS5 brand new from Knauss Chevrolet in Tigard, OR. He loved the car for years — but the realities of life, kids and evolving responsibilities lingered, and he sold the car decade later. When it left his driveway for the last time in 1982, he never thought he’d see it again — and since he didn’t save the VIN or the contact info of the new owner, finding it again seemed impossible.
But that’s just the kind of tall order that Mark and the LLR team thrives on — so while this journey started with a just an old photo of a license plate, it evolved quickly, leading them to a possible VIN, a For Sale listing, and to unquestionable proof of a long lost ride, finally found again!
