- GoldenEye (1995): The pre-title scene begins with Bond and fellow 00-agent Alec Trevelyan infiltrating a Soviet chemical weapons facility in Arkhangelsk. The mission takes a turn when Trevelyan is captured by General Ourumov, and Bond is forced to set the facility to self-destruct. In an adrenaline-pumping sequence, Bond escapes by bungee jumping off a dam and later flying a plane off a cliff, showcasing the high-stakes action and camaraderie between Bond and Trevelyan.
- Tomorrow Never Dies (1997): The scene starts at an arms bazaar on the Russian border, where Bond is sent to surveil and identify terrorists. When MI6 discovers nuclear torpedoes among the arms, M orders a missile strike. Bond realizes the strike will detonate the warheads, so he hijacks a jet carrying the torpedoes and escapes just as the missile destroys the bazaar. This action-packed scene sets the tone for Bond's mission against media mogul Elliot Carver.
- The World Is Not Enough (1999): The longest pre-title sequence in the series begins with Bond retrieving money for Sir Robert King in Bilbao, Spain. Bond returns the money to MI6 headquarters in London, but it is revealed to be a bomb. The explosion kills King, and Bond pursues the assassin, leading to a high-speed boat chase along the Thames. The chase ends with the assassin committing suicide, hinting at a larger conspiracy involving the terrorist Renard.
- Die Another Day (2002): The film opens with Bond infiltrating a North Korean military base by posing as an arms dealer. Bond's cover is blown by Colonel Moon, leading to a high-speed hovercraft chase through a minefield. Bond destroys Moon's hovercraft, seemingly killing him, but is captured by North Korean forces. This intense sequence sets the stage for Bond's imprisonment and subsequent escape, driving the narrative of revenge and deception.
