The dashboard — pre-assembled with electronics and wiring — glides into the cabin on a precision crane, followed by seats, interior wiring, headliner, and glass installation.

Once the vehicle leaves the assembly line, it is transferred to the Chicago Modification Center. This is where a normal SUV becomes a police tool. Here, technicians install emergency lighting, sirens, weapon mounts, center consoles, partitions, electronic modules, communication gear, and more. Ballistic door panels rated at level III or IIIA (depending on configuration) are also added, significantly increasing door protection.
