In this build, I'm tackling a true craftsman's challenge: forging Damascus steel from hardened thread-rolling dies (likely D2 tool steel). I combined them with 15N20 high-nickel steel to create a dramatic contrast in the final pattern. You'll see the entire process, from the risky forge welding at over 2300°F, to drawing and twisting the billet to develop the pattern, all the way to the final grinding, polishing, and etching that brings the beautiful Damascus waves to life. The result is a unique, fully functional piece of art with an incredible story, proving that beauty can be forged from the most industrial of materials.
