Today’s meal is simple, honest food. She cooks creamy mamaliga and a homemade chicken stew, seasoned with love and patience. From her storeroom she brings out jars of pickled vegetables, preserved during the summer for moments like this. The kitchen fills with warmth, crackling fire, and the comforting smell of a real home.
