My 1955 Ford F100 Gets a HUGE Upgrade: 8.8 Explorer Axle Swap
Published at : 12 Dec 2025
In this episode the abandoned '55 Ford F100 truck gets a huge upgrade to it's towing ability, hauling ability, and burnout ability... a Ford Explorer 8.8 axle swap. I embark on a multi-day junkyard search and dig through a sea of 90s Explorers to find that unicorn axle, the 4.10 gear ratio, limited slip differential with disc brakes. I also pull the original Y-block V8 engine and sell it for steel scrap metal.
