We’re out in Moab, Utah running Hell’s Revenge — one of the most iconic and intimidating trails in the country.
The day before this, we successfully ran the trail in our freshly built 1977 Toyota Chinook… but our fully built Toyota 4Runner decided it was done for the day — breaking down in the worst possible spot, right on a sketchy spine near the top of the trail.
With the rig stranded and no easy way out, a complete stranger stepped in to help.
Rory from Trailmater took time out of his Sunday to come recover a broken truck for someone he’d never met — and ended up running Hell’s Revenge just to get us home safe.
This is what off-roading in Moab is really about: good people, capable rigs, and helping each other when things go sideways.
