Join us on this epic late season muzzleloader elk hunting adventure! Flintlock hunting adds a bit of challenge to an already challenging hunt. Late season muzzleloader deer and elk hunts are tough. The winter weather can be brutal, the country doesn't have much cover, and there are a lot of eyes to get past. Although I can group patched round balls well at 150 yards, I'd much rather get to 100 yards or closer with my flintlock rifle. When elk hunting in this open landscape, getting that close isn't easy. Like years previous, we set up a wall tent for some hot tent winter camping and settle in hunt elk in the backcountry of the Rockey Mountains.
